I'm BAAACCK!

I know it's been eons since my last post, but what can I say? Life has a tendency of sweeping us up and carrying us away.

As you can tell by the photo in this post, one of those swept away moments took me to Dubai. This was my second time in the surreal city in the sand and I took full advantage of a fishing expedition with my dearest cousin, Fadi.

Vacationing in Dubai is pretty dreamy, but what took my breath away (besides the 60 plus pound fish I was reeling in) were the freezing conditions on the water. Of course by mid-day stripping down to a bikini was fine, nay, and necessary but the morning winds were brutally frigid and reminded me of my cottage days in Northern Ontario. Hence the cozy cashmere sweater I sported (Club Monaco) and trusty yoga jeans by Montreal's Second Jeans. The latter is a must have for every gal on the go whether you strike a pose on a mat or not.

Now that summer is closing up shop and I am back in Toronto, I'm bursting to bust out my collection of Second Jeans and layer, layer, layer!

I don't know what it was about Chicago that had me talking like a 1920's gangster, but I loved it! I also adored this incredible City By The Lake, with its big shoulders and all. Here are some of the highlights of my first trip to Chi-Town with my darling friend, Butters: Art and Architecture... The Art Institute of Chicago is a must for all the art obsessed. There is An End!

Winter worn tresses? There is an end, pun intended. After a heartfelt evening of catching up with one of my most darling of gal pals, of course the conversation lead to hair. I can't shut up about the mop I carry around and especially in this brutally cold environment: enter the Great White North and it's bludgeoning effect on my poor candy floss do. We had a good chuckle about being able to cut our ends with our fingers (scissors not required for such crunchy ends) and then the heavens delivered me a press release this morning about Bain de Terre's Jasmine Infused 2 minute Intense Conditioner. It will be available by March and I can not wait to dunk my entire head into it. A lways on the hunt for more fabulous dining options in Toronto, let's shine some love and light onto St.Clair West, the midtown part of it that is. Some amazing culinary options have made this neck of the woods their home and only a ten minute bike ride away from my place, I am so thankful they have.
